Lil'wat First Nation | Vancouver Coastal

Who we are

Lil’wat Nation, located in the Vancouver Coastal region, offers early childhood programming (ages 0–6). Comprehensive Maternal Child Health (MCH) supports. These include prenatal care, parenting guidance, and the Family Spirit model—promoting healthy pregnancies and optimal child development in a culturally grounded environment.

Our Work with SPIRIT

Our work with SPIRIT has created a welcoming daily drop-in space for families, where they can access nutritious meals, culturally grounded resources, and referrals to specialized services such as Speech & Language, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy. When available, transportation is provided to ensure accessibility. A strong emphasis is placed on Lil̓wat culture, traditions, and language making this program not only a support system, but a place of connection, learning, and healing

What SPIRIT means to us

SPIRIT has empowered our team to deepen our commitment to holistic wellness rooted in Lil̓wat values. Being part of the global SPIRIT collective has inspired us to integrate play, creativity, and cultural connection into our health programs especially for youth and families. It’s helped us reimagine healing spaces that are not only safe and supportive, but joyful and inclusive. Together, we’re building a world of play that honors our traditions and uplifts our future.
