Our Network
SPIRIT connects Indigenous communities, partners, and cultural knowledge holders across four nations. Our growing network helps us share learning, support each other, and lift intergenerational and Indigenous wellbeing together.

Australia
SPIRIT walks alongside Aboriginal families and knowledge holders who carry deep connections to Country. Here play, story, and culture weave together to strengthen children and generations to come.

United States
SPIRIT works alongside the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health and Indigenous partners across Turtle Island to uplift teachings of harmony, protection, and balance. Together, we nurture cultural play, strengthen caregivers, and support the wellbeing of children and the generations to come.

Canada | BC
In Canada, SPIRIT partners with Indigenous communities, the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), and local knowledge holders to uplift teachings of connection, land, and intergenerational strength. Together, we honour cultural play, support caregivers, and nurture the wellbeing of children today and the generations who will follow.

New Zealand (Aotearoa me Te Waipounamu)
In Aotearoa me Te Waipounamu, the SPIRIT Project is coordinated by Te Rōpū Rangahau Hauora a Eru Pōmare (University of Otago, Wellington) and delivered alongside Māori-led partners. Across the region, the work focuses on reclaiming tākaro (play) as a pathway for healing, learning, and whānau (family) wellbeing. Grounded in shared values, the project enables tamariki (children) and their whānau to reconnect with identity, culture, and each other, while fostering intergenerational learning and joy.
