Who we are

Batchelor Area School/Batchelor Top End is located in Australia’s Northern Territory (Darwin) and delivers the SPIRIT program through a local preschool and playgroup to support families with children aged 0-6. By creating a welcoming space for families and extended relatives, the program builds trust and connection as a foundation for deeper engagement and future home visits.

Our Work with SPIRIT

Through SPIRIT we are providing the Batchelor Playgroup (Batchelor Area School) with iPad that contain Language books and Family Spirit Lessons for families attending Playgroup, we also have Family Spirit trained people to deliver.

The other project we are working on is the Interactive Play space.

The local council has provided a section of a large park in our township. There are plans which have come from community consultation with Kungarakan and local community people. This place space with reflect the local people's culture and promote interactive activates. We intend this space to be a coming together of families and culture supporting each other in our community.

What SPIRIT means to us

SPIRIT has provided our team as a collective with the impetus to move forward through education, team building, learning and growing strength to support our community.
