Wind River Cares

Who we are

Wind River Family and Community Healthcare on Wyoming’s Wind River Reservation provides integrated, high-quality health services—including maternal and child health, behavioral health, and traditional healing—to members of the Northern Arapaho, Eastern Shoshone, and other Tribes, with a commitment to cultural respect and improved outcomes.

Our work with SPIRIT

Being a member of the SPIRIT fellowship has allowed us to begin the development phase of a community centered play space. The funding has brought together multiple tribal programs with a common goal of developing a safe and family centered play space.

What SPIRIT means to us

Becoming a fellowship site with SPIRIT has allowed our program to have connections with indigenous communities throughout the world, not just the United States. The recently gathering in Canada provided such an incredible experience to see first-hand how other indigenous communities are making positive and lasting impacts in their communities. It is not often that we are able to so closely connect with other tribal communities within the United States let alone with worldwide!
